It really is the ones in charge of handling the specimen who gets infected first - the spearheader. XDD I am curious, how did James cut his hand? Assuming he's so curious that he touched the substance, does it mean the gooey thing can cut/dissolve stuff? I'm asking this because I'm dying to know if it's actually because of his clumsiness. >.<

Good question! :) I always imagined it to be because he was careless and clumsy... But I really like the idea that the creature can dissolve stuff too!
